What I've come to love about shooting for a newspaper is that you are forced to utilize your full range of photographic and personal skills when approaching a shoot. You have to work fast, often in an uncontrolled environment without visually manipulating the situation unfolding in front of your camera.

Newspaper photography has been the single most valuable training I have had to date, and has made me a far better photographer in every other form of the medium.
